Gift of Caring Recipients

These are just suggestions. Get together with the girls and ask them who they'd like to help.

Cookies for the USO (more info at GSCNC)

The USO gives cookies directly to soldiers in their Lounge at BWI Airport and when distributing care packages as part of Operation USO for deploying soldiers. Because they distribute the cookies directly to the soldiers there are no shipping costs.  Most of the soldiers pack the cookies in their carry on luggage and take them with them on the flight.

Cookies can be dropped off at their BWI location seven days a week between the hours of 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM.  The Lounge is located on the lower level of BWI Airport near baggage claims 13/14 at the entrance to the International Pier. You can park in the hourly parking garage which is located directly across from the terminal.  Parking is free for the first hour and there are luggage carts available in the garage to help you bring the cookies in. Whoever is dropping the cookies off will be asked to complete a short IN-Kind donation form.  Basically, the troop number, the name and address of a contact person and the number of boxes being donated.   Contact Pam Horton USO/Girl Scout Cookie Coordinator if you have any additional questions.

Before the girls can sell

The Troop Cookie Manager must attend training (see Dates to Remember).
All girls that sell must be registered. Your troop leader will have a list of registered girls.
